Women and Work Parliamentary Friendship Group
The Women and Work Parliamentary Friendship Group has been established to inform Members and Senators of the Commonwealth Parliament on the issues surrounding women’s workforce participation and their long-term economic security. It will:
- Draw on the experience and opinions of women, and other stakeholders and Parliamentarians to reduce any barriers to women’s long term economic wellbeing
- Identify the barriers to women’s full participation in the workforce
- Outline strategies to overcome those barriers, and
- Connect member organisations of economic Security4Women (eS4W) with parliamentarians in order for them to better understand their respective roles.
